Friends for life...

2010 is here and best way to begin my new year post will be probably to devote some place here for my friends...so here is my thanks to Milind, Swapnil square, Tanmay, Amir, Vidyut, Sushant, Anant, Rachit, Jai, Samar ( sorry in case i missed on any one)...the words may be less but the emotions are high...Thanks once again for being around me all the time
**********************************************************************************
Lemme tell you a story
Full of emotions but makes you worry
Indeed remorseful yet inducing
Such is the story of friends for life
First one was the jewel
To fit in the king of the crown
A small mistake
And I lost this crown
Second was the strategist
Played the game of squares
He got the fame
I lost my name
Then came the fish
Slippery even in a dish
He was no more the same
Since we lost the final game
But I am not to discuss
These people who created just fuss
Bcos here came the name
Who loved me and gave me my part of fame
Enter first the inspirational gujju
Spoke little but effective
Taught me the way of life
And he was my first friend for life
Second one a sheriff
Style and politics on the front cover
Gave me the final cut and over
He became the next pal for life
Then came the number hacker
Also a big quiz cracker
Memory as sharp as the knife
That is the way to go in the life
Next in was a stupid girl
Considering herself a big fern
Yet got the freshness and grin
Filled my life with a smile
A tall dark and handsome
Sounding like a techie firm
Gave me reliability
A much needed dependability
In came the vicious vocalis
Troubling us with his all funniness
Taught me the real meaning of Nike jingle
Hats off to you bro’
Next in was the footballer
Always a great innovator
Loved to run into long discussion
Thanks pal for your direction
Also had the two roomies
Their room being the great hangover
Taught me the greatest principles
Honesty and devotion
How can I forget-The great presenter
An early riser and bit more wiser
Had a knack for everything
Confidence being the biggest theme
Now that I am bit distant
On the verge of separation
That’s not the way to go
Plea to you my friends for life

hello, Rajat. Nice to read ur feelings. See, even though u are far away, it doesnt mean you are forgotton. Whenever we arrange a gathering, u are always missed by everyone. I cannot forget many moments with you. So, dont think that you are alone. I hope you are thinking about your future life where you have to be more responsible for her. Friends are friends and they always remain there for you.

Whatever Tanmay has stated here is correct indeed. Distance and time does not matter for friends.

You aint alone, man, we are all here for you.

My icon for life!!!

A banker hardly gets time to socialise owing to the enormous stress and pressure. This community is slowly and steadily turning into a forlorn lark. Being a part of this community, i also hardly get any time to attend any social gathering. Even keeping abreast with the latest happenings is also sometimes impossible. These days, due to internet blockade in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, we are unable to remain facebook and whatsapp active. The dependency on the idiot box gets increased. The KBC has been our favourite TV show over the last decade or so. We have actually grown with it. The show gives a boost for any avid current affairs reader. But I lost track of it over the last few years. Incidentally  I happened to watch the Big B anchored KBC on danteras by chance aired on 25 th October. Being a Friday, the show showcases some people who have contributed significantly to our society. This episode highlighted the contribution of  a doctor couple based out of Bharatpur Ra...

Respect her!!!

The time of Corona has brought in it the lockdown. Lockdown is the state of affairs when the whole world comes to stand still. Any change would carry with it the innate quality of inviting criticism both for and against it . Lockdown is no different. There may be people who are favouring lockdown while as there is a subset of our population which are against it too. My analysis is it happened for our good and we all need to bear this adventure. The best part of lockdown for me has been that the public broadcasting of the two mythological epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. Both these epics represent the ethos of Indian civilisation and how the Indian civilisation has evolved over the time. While the positives of the epics circulate through the veins and arteries of the nation, one aspect has been showing the ladies as sheer objectification. The epics have given a great moral to us    which invokes us to respect the women folk. These epics are really significant in the current d...

Lockdown diaries- The Covid Scare

Lockdown was implemented in the whole country to contain the spread of Covid 19. Our state or union territory is no different. But being the financial warrior, we had to be at the front fighting the deadly pandemic while serving our customer. We have also faced the brutality of this deadly pandemic with so many bankers losing life. Though every banker is cautiously treading through these difficult times, there were near miss incidents which every banker could have faced. Let me narrate an incident that happening during the lockdown which involved our own staff. It was Monday evening when I had just stepped into my room after day’s labour. I had just taken my evening bath when my phone started ringing. I was surprised to see a call from one of my lady colleagues because usually after the office time no calls take place. Within few minutes, another call came in and this time it was from my service manager. “Sir, Where are you?” He was quite subtle in his demeanour. With utter calmness,...
