Money is Honey

I was listening to a current affairs program few days back wherein the anchor was refering to the importance of money in politcs. He was highlighting the fact that money is power and that was the reason that political leaders like Ghulam nabi Azad, Vilas Rao Deshmukh, Amarinder Singh inspite of they being out of action from their respective states had high voice at the centre leadership. Probably this nexus is absolutely true. But what I want to infer here is that money is everything. Money attracts everything. If you have money you can buy everything; friends, happiness, luxury and even money. It is now an established fact that  Dhiru Ambani married Kokilaben just for money which he eventually used for building the Reliance empire. What I want to emphasise here is that money attracts every aspect of life and not advocating the dowry system in the country. If I refer to my experiences of the life so far, I would substantiate the above with lot of examples. First, Recently I got to know that one of the person around me married since the better half is the only child witth lot of financial backing. The couple may be perfect in the worldy sense but I believe it is the most unmatched one because there is no professional matching between the two leave aside how the couple looks. One is east and other west, one is north pole and other is south. But still they are attached and the magnet is money. Clearly money attracts beauty. Second when I had a very good salary I had lot of people and relatives around me but once I switched the job the people fled me. Doesnt this prove that money attracts people. I have numerous other instances but let us keep them private at this instant. Point that I want to make here is that money is everything in this materialistic world. If you have money you have power and you got the ability to attract money. Money is indeed honey.

P.S.: These thoughts will never be accepted by one person in my life- my dad...Somebody help me how to make him understand this.

Lockdown diaries- The Covid Scare

Lockdown was implemented in the whole country to contain the spread of Covid 19. Our state or union territory is no different. But being the financial warrior, we had to be at the front fighting the deadly pandemic while serving our customer. We have also faced the brutality of this deadly pandemic with so many bankers losing life. Though every banker is cautiously treading through these difficult times, there were near miss incidents which every banker could have faced. Let me narrate an incident that happening during the lockdown which involved our own staff. It was Monday evening when I had just stepped into my room after day’s labour. I had just taken my evening bath when my phone started ringing. I was surprised to see a call from one of my lady colleagues because usually after the office time no calls take place. Within few minutes, another call came in and this time it was from my service manager. “Sir, Where are you?” He was quite subtle in his demeanour. With utter calmness,...

Respect her!!!

The time of Corona has brought in it the lockdown. Lockdown is the state of affairs when the whole world comes to stand still. Any change would carry with it the innate quality of inviting criticism both for and against it . Lockdown is no different. There may be people who are favouring lockdown while as there is a subset of our population which are against it too. My analysis is it happened for our good and we all need to bear this adventure. The best part of lockdown for me has been that the public broadcasting of the two mythological epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. Both these epics represent the ethos of Indian civilisation and how the Indian civilisation has evolved over the time. While the positives of the epics circulate through the veins and arteries of the nation, one aspect has been showing the ladies as sheer objectification. The epics have given a great moral to us    which invokes us to respect the women folk. These epics are really significant in the current d...
